Even a windy autumn day couldn’t ruin the hairstyles of two models as they arrived at the Didrichsen Art Museum in Kuusisaari, Helsinki. They stepped into the fantastical imagery of Carl-Henning Pedersen’s “Fairy Tale” and fit beautifully into the atmosphere of the exhibition, with its fairy castles and sailing ships in the sky. Soon, invited guests will experience a unique event where hair art and hair cosmetic products seamlessly merge.
Renewing the Four Reasons Professional Line
Four Reasons hosted the launch event for the Professional line on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Didrichsen Art Museum. Guests had the opportunity to view the museum’s latest exhibition by Carl-Henning Pedersen and draw inspiration from the renewing Four Reasons Professional line of products through hair art.
Influencer, educator, and hairdresser Linda Lehto designed and created two different hair art pieces for the event, using products from the renewing Professional line for the styling of the artworks.
Here’s the latest launched products in Finland:
- Professional Heat Shield
- Professional Salt Mist
- Professional Finishing Spray
- Professional Extreme Hold Spray
- Professional Root Booster
- Professional No Yellow
Inspiration from Art
Linda drew inspiration for the models’ hair from two paintings in the exhibition: “I was inspired by the colors, and as soon as I saw these two paintings, I took their colors for the models as well. One features soft pink, while the other has more trendy mahogany, darkness, and contrast.”
When the idea of combining hair cosmetics and art was tossed around, a natural bridge formed between these two themes. “Hairdressers are artists too, hair artists! We create our own works of art in hair every day,” Linda states. Color palettes, art, or surrounding elements can serve as the basis for both bold and subtle color choices.
For Aada’s hair, Linda created a stunning, soft pink hue and styled a literal hair band.
For Saru’s hair, Linda dyed subtle reddish and bluish shades, just like the painting that served as the inspiration. Linda lightened Saru’s dark base first before adding the shades.
Let’s Talk About Hair
The most important thing at the hair event is hair! And what could be better than sharing tips on must-have hairstyles. We chatted with guests about their go-to hairstyles for hectic mornings; here are their go-to styles for those rushed mornings:
“Definitely a sleek bun; it’s also a lifesaver for dirty hair,” suggests Veronika Mikheeva @veramikheevaa.
“A bun on top of the head, it always works,” shares Laila Lindqvist @laluuna.
“In the worst-case scenario, of course, a hat on, but the world’s quickest blow-dry and a bit of styling product through the hair in ten seconds,” advises Valtteri Sandberg @valtterisandberg.
